About

I am a poet, editor, and freelance writer who was born and is living in the Midwest. I have published two chapbooks, nine full-length collections of poetry, a debut flash fiction collection in 2021, and am working to secure a publisher for my first novel.

A list of my creative publications appears on my publications page.

I was the founding/managing editor of After the Pause (an online literary journal of experimental poetry, fiction, and artwork that ran from 2014-2022) as well as its small press imprint a…p press. In addition, I ran the After the Pause Review of Books.

Check out my Goodreads author page and leave a rating/review on any of my books!

  1. What i do not understood is actually how you’re not really much more neatly-preferred than you may be right now. You are very intelligent. You recognize thus considerably in relation to this matter, made me individually imagine it from a lot of varied angles. Its like women and men are not fascinated unless it’s one thing to do with Girl gaga! Your personal stuffs great. Always take care of it up!

  3. Hi Michael,
I hope you are well and safe at this difficult time. I am working with some passionate and caring nurses at an emergency field hospital in Swansea, Wales, UK. They love your poetry and have asked if this line: ‘We will always sleep free with the sky as our blanket’ could be included in an artwork. I hope you are happy to do this, it means a great deal to our staff. I will of course, make sure you are acknowledged in any related publicity. With very best wishes, Heather
